Join us for an extra special, two-part, movie night!
Part One: Rope Demo with Jim Ewing
Jim Ewing has been climbing for over 40 years, and his resume includes impressive ascents across the globe in virtually every discipline, from bouldering to alpine big walls. He's also an amputee, having lost his leg to a climbing accident in 2014, and an engineer for Sterling Ropes. Join us before the film for a Sterling rope demo and Q+A with Jim!
Part Two: Movie Night!
ABOUT THE FILM: Jim Ewing enlists professional climber, Maureen Beck – born without her left hand – to attempt the first all-adaptive ascent of the über classic and deeply remote Lotus Flower Tower (5.10+) in Canada's Cirque of the Unclimbables. As their adventure unfolds, we see that the ability to adapt is universal and a common thread that unites us.
Standard movie night rules apply: Free beer! Free popcorn!
The event is all ages, but the beer is 21+.
You cannot drink and climb.
We will also be hosting a raffle before the movie!
Tickets are $2 a piece, and 100% of donations will benefit Paradox Sports to support adaptive climbing communities across the country.
